By offering work placements or volunteer opportunities you can help people in Lancashire back into work.  There are a number of projects available across Lancashire which offer dedicated support to people with different barriers and support needs. Available projects include:


Myplace is an Ecotherapy project delivered by the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside in partnership with the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust

The National Careers Service

The National Careers Service provides careers information, advice, and guidance to help people make informed choices about their work, learning and training options.

Age of Opportunity

The Age of Opportunity is a project supporting people over the age of 50 who are unemployed or economically inactive to improve their skills and employability.

Changing Futures

The Changing Futures project supports individuals facing disadvantage who are unemployed or economically inactive.

Invest in Youth

The Invest in Youth project supports young people aged 15–24 who are unemployed or economically inactive, including those who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET.


Journey2Work has been designed to support unemployed people into sustainable employment. Working closely with employers Journey2Work will help you recruit and retain the right people for your business.
