The project is delivered by a partnership of 30 mostly community, voluntary and social enterprise sector organisations across Lancashire.
Together they offer individual guidance, information, volunteering, training, employment and enterprise activities.

What are the benefits?
Changing Futures works with each individual, understanding their abilities, skills, and interests and then identifying ways to address their particular barriers to economic activity. This could mean working to improve self-esteem following redundancy, accessing training, support in dealing with discrimination, disability, mental illness, or other kinds of disadvantage that restrict opportunities.
In addressing the barriers to work and training that disadvantaged people face, the specialist support provided through this project will help to overcome many other obstacles, improving the opportunities and wellbeing of those involved.
Who is it for?
Changing Futures is targeted towards people who face multiple and complex barriers to employment, therefore all participants are unemployed or economically inactive and at high risk of social exclusion.
Examples of the multiple and complex barriers of people facing disadvantage can include physical disability, discrimination on the basis of gender or ethnicity, mental health issues, learning disabilities, a criminal record, those affected by domestic violence, or those with childcare or caring responsibilities.
