Director of HR, Training & Quality, Forbes Solicitors

Joanne joined Forbes Solicitors in 2000 and was appointed as Director of HR, Training and Quality in 2012. In addition, Joanne supports clients, who may not have their own HR practitioner and offers practical advice on internal processes, procedures and systems.

Prior to joining Forbes, Joanne ran European (ESF ADAPT) Projects for Burnley College, as Project lead; spent five years working for the East Lancashire Training & Enterprise Council supporting businesses and education partnerships. Joanne also spent eleven years working in the automotive sector.

Joanne is Deputy Chair of the Lancashire Skills & Employment Board, which is a sub-committee of the Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership, an Ambassador for the National Apprenticeship Services in the North West and has chaired the Lancashire HR Employers Forum, run by Community & Business Partners for the last ten years. Joanne is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and has been a member of the CIPD for 30 years.
