The Food and Farming Innovation and Technology (FFIT) Centre and associated Livestock Innovation Centre are located at Myerscough Colleges Lodge Farm adjacent to the main college campus. The centre provides a unique environment to allow business development, conferencing and knowledge transfer activities. The centre is equipped with the latest technology for livestock data recording and analysis to demonstrate how agri-businesses can utilise technology to become more productive and profitable.
The FFIT Centre provides facilities suitable for strategic research, industrial trials and product development targeted at the wider landbased industries. Facilities to support these activities include a teaching laboratory, data / IT room linked to on farm data sensors, field laboratory for processing and preserving material and a food product development facility.
The FFIT Centre also provides conference and meeting facilities including two conference rooms, two meeting breakout rooms, social and dining areas and can accommodate conferences up to 100 people. The use of the conference facilities are not restricted and any business can benefit from the facility.
