Supporting unemployed and inactive residents into sustainable
employment.

Inclusive Workforce objectives:

  • Supporting the governments initiative to achieving a long-term ambition of an 80% employment rate by 2035, through the Get Lancashire Working Plan.
  • Accessible adult careers provision informed by local LMI.
  • Effective use of Adult Skills Fu bund (ASF) to improve the skills and employability of Lancashire’s people.
  • Work collaboratively with employers, DWP and employment providers to support more people into good jobs.
  • Sector specific initiatives targeted at areas with labour market demand (for example, Skills Bootcamps).
  • Research growth in economic inactivity in Lancashire.
  • Support the Connect to Work programme aimed at supporting people with barriers to employment or stay in  work
  • Supporting the growth of Apprenticeships.
