Informed Approach

Helping to influence and inform Lancashire’s priorities

Understanding the skills and employment issues facing Lancashire’s businesses and across industries is vital to enable appropriate priorities to be set so that we work together to achieve effective objectives.

Informed Approach objectives:

  • Maintain insight by refreshing LMI and open source toolkit
  • Evidence based approach to prioritising, influencing and directing funds
  • Collaboration with other Local Enterprise Partnerships and Mayoral Combined Authorities, and sharing of good practice
  • Work with government to evaluate what works to influence future priorities and programmes

We would like our partners and stakeholders to contribute to this work so that the Informed Approach is a true reflection of the skills and employment needs of Lancashire.

  • Do young people leaving education have the skills they need to work in your business?
  • Do you struggle to recruit?
  • Does your industry have a shortage of people with the right skills?

If you would like to contribute to our evidence base please contact us.

The diverse industries that make up the Lancashire economy all have different skills needs and priorities, and it is essential that we understand these when we make strategic plans or investment decisions.

Our objectives are shaped by the information and intelligence provided by our stakeholders. We need your engagement to ensure that the Informed Approach and Evidence Base is robust and the work it directs has impact.
