  • Provide the minimum apprenticeship length
  • Pay the minimum aged-based pay for apprentices
  • Support off the job training which is at least 20% of their working hours
  • Must provide a genuine job for the learner

What does it involve?

Apprenticeships are an exciting option for both apprentice and employer. They last at least a year and can provide a great opportunity to learn valuable knowledge, skills and behaviours, on-the-job and off the job, supported by your business and an external training provider. You will be expected to employ the apprentice for at least the duration of the apprenticeship, at a minimum of 30 hours per week and allow at least 20% off the job training throughout the programme.
