Sara Gaskell
Sara took up her role at the Lancashire Skills Hub in March 2017 and has progressed into the role of Lancashire Skills Hub Manager. Sara is responsible for co-ordinating/managing multiple related projects, activities and staff, balancing a range of workstreams to ensure the objectives within the Lancashire Skills and Employment Strategic Framework are met. She also supports the development of Lancashire skills and employment policies and strategy in the medium to long term, taking into account local and national labour market intelligence and government policy. She aims to join the dots and help to ensure that we maximise impact across the county.
Sara has worked in the skills sector for over 20 years. Originally a trainer for British Airways Holidays, she moved into work based learning and has had the opportunity to work for private providers and Colleges both within Lancashire and Manchester. Sara is passionate about supporting Lancashire Businesses and residents with the skills they need to prosper.
In her spare time Sara is a keen scuba diver, and has dived in the UK and multiple exotic locations such as the Caribbean, the Maldives and Egypt. She is a Scuba instructor and loves helping people to be able to experience the underwater world.
