Compliance Officer

Dawn Werra joined the Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub in April 2026 as a Project Coordinator before progressing to the role of Compliance Officer. In her current role, she supports the delivery of skills and employment programmes across Lancashire, ensuring compliance with funding, contractual and quality assurance requirements while helping to maintain high standards across programme delivery.
During her time as a Project Coordinator, Dawn worked closely with training providers and employers across Lancashire, providing impartial advice and guidance on apprenticeships, employer incentives, and workforce development opportunities. This experience gave her valuable insight into the practical challenges faced by training providers, employers, and learners, which she now draws upon in her compliance role.
Prior to joining the Hub, Dawn spent over 22 years in the NHS, including as an Apprenticeship Lead, where she developed extensive expertise in funding, programme delivery, training provider and employer engagement and compliance. Her combined experience in operational delivery and compliance enables her to support high-quality skills provision that benefits training providers, employers, and residents across Lancashire.
